TUMMY TUCK
WITH TRANSABDOMINAL BREAST AUGMENTATION
Breast Implants without Scars!
This is a technique in which the abdominoplasty incision is used to place breast implants either saline filled or silicone filled so that there is no incision on or near the breast. This is done in conjunction with a full tummy tuck and in women that do not need a breast lift.
Graduated from New York University as a fellow of plastic surgery in 1990, Dr. Husami, MD, Cosmetic, Plastic and hand surgeon, brings experience and expertise as well as knowledge of the most effective and innovative techniques available.
According to Dr. Husami, MD, Cosmetic, Plastic and hand surgeon, tummy tuck and transabdominal breast augmentation rank among the most successful procedures with no risk if done by an expert plastic surgeon. Making sure that your doctor is registered in LSPRAS (www.lspras.com) is already the first step towards safety.
WHEN TO DO IT
After losing a great deal of weight or following pregnancy, a tummy tuck may be necessary to tighten the abdominal wall muscles, remove excess skin and contour the body for improved smoothness and aesthetic appeal. A tummy tuck can return youthfulness to the abdominal region of someone who has lost excessive weight or endured pregnancy.
BEST CANDIDATES
TBA is best suited for women who are having a tummy tuck and need added volume to their breasts, but do not have excessive drooping requiring a breast lift.
For women undergoing tummy tuck, trans-abdominal breast augmentation is a very effective means of placing breast implants without creating any breast incisions.
LIMITED CIRCUMSTANCES
If the breast is simple being augmented it is satisfactory. If the breast requires a lift then the placement of the implants should be approached directly through the breast.
BENEFITS OF TUMMY TUCK WITH TRANSABDOMINAL BREAST AUGMENTATION
This plastic surgery procedure will remove or reduce stretch marks in the region of the lower abdomen and waist and can even correct the pubic laxity that develops with natural birth. In fact, trans-abdominal breast augmentation during tummy tuck ensures that there will be no scars on the breasts at all.
TUMMY TUCK
Most candidates of tummy tuck undergo this procedure to remove excess abdominal skin and tissue and to improve their abdominal contour. Because those physical changes tend to wreak havoc on the body, tummy tuck is a permanent, surgical fix for what diet and exercise cannot improve.
BREAST
Along with negative changes to the abdomen during weight loss and pregnancy, there are changes that affect the breasts. Following pregnancy, nursing or weight loss, breasts may appear deflated. Unfortunately, these breast changes cannot be alleviated through diet and exercise, either. Breast tissue is largely unaffected by such measures of fitness and the best approach for permanent rejuvenation and youthful appeal of the breasts is through breast enhancement for the lost volume by breast augmentation.
AVOIDING SCARS AND BREAST AUGMENTATION COMPLICATIONS
Instead of an incision on the breast that can make a noticeable scar, the implants are placed in through an abdominal incision, and it’s actually the best way to put an implant in. By avoiding a scar, the risk of capsular contracture is reduced. Capsular contracture is an immune response to foreign objects within the body.
THE PROCEDURE
The surgeon suspends all of the abdominal skin in order to gain access for the breast implant. Retractors that are lighted are used to illuminate the pocket where the implant will be pushed through a long tube.
RISKS
This is when the implant migrates down or is displaced because of the opened tissue between the abdomen and the breast pocket.
The risk of having what is called a “bottomed out” look is very rare and almost impossible if this procedure is done by an experienced certified plastic surgeon.
