The eldest of four children to Rachid and his wife Alid, General Roukoz was born in Chatine, Batroun District, North of Lebanon.
Although none of his family members ever had any association with the army; he drew his destiny since his school days.
His dream was to join the commando’s army forces as they differed from any others by their power, high moral, capacity, ambition and assertiveness.
In 1980 Roukoz joined Lebanese Army School of War as Cadet Officer; he was consecutively promoted to reach the grade of Brigadier General in 2010.
Roukoz was highly committed to the hard training, entirely devoted to the army’s life style and closely attached to his soldiers, being a Rangers Regiment Commander.
11 times awarded by the Army Commander in Chief and the President of the Military Council, he was also awarded the National Order of Merit (Officer) by the President of France as well as the Royal Order of Isabella the Catholic by the King of Spain.
Equally balancing between his duties and affection, Roukoz met his wife 20 years prior to their marriage.
They went through a 5 years long distance relationship when Claudine had to leave for France with her family into an exile which lasted 15 years while Roukoz was firmly devoted to his duties.
Destiny brought them back together in 2005 and they have been a couple ever since.
Roukoz retired in 2015 after 34 years of Military service.
Today he heads into the political field where he will make the ultimate contribution to society as his devotion is a key pillar on which Lebanon stands.
