Daughter to late President Elias Hraoui and active first lady Mona Hraoui, Zalfa remained humble and grounded.
Zalfa spent her childhood in her birthplace town Zahle, however she completed three secondary classes in Sainte Dominique School, Paris. She returned to Lebanon in 1982 where she chose Communication Arts by default since Interior Design was not made available at the time at BUC.
Passionate about music and culture, Zalfa delved into the world of social interactive activities. Up until 1989 she engaged most Kesrewan schools by organizing competitions and celebrating Kids Days. In 1993, she spearheaded the “Committee for Child Development” in Kesrewan.
Excellent social activities, undeniable efficiency and tenacity earned her to be appointed by Zouk’s Mayor to launch the Zouk Mikael Festival which she founded back in 2003.
A strong believer in education through exposure, Zalfa fought hard to spread culture to everyone without any social discrimination. She played key roles in the introduction of the “Children Cultural and Music Exposure Program” and included a “Master Class & Lecture Program” as part of the Zouk Mikael International Festival.
Zalfa’s mission had no limits; her eagerness to help earned her a place on the board of the Chronic Care Center. Today, she realizes her passion for interior design through the overseeing of the gift corner in CCC which revenues help taking care of the kids at the center. Zalfa plans to take on more responsibilities and to be more involved in CCC.
