HODA KERBAGE
Born in 1980 under the sign of emotions, multitalented Hoda has successfully distinguished herself through her exceptional abilities and devotion to art.
Directing being the place where she belongs, her heart remains poured and melted with every drop of ink that lies on the pages of her books.
Hoda’s writing gift was probably inherited by her mother. She started her first secret fiction story with a green alien at the young age of six.
Although her family expectations were to bestow her sharpness to law studies, following her father’s steps Mtr. Mouhab Kerbage, Hoda painted her own path with the color of her dreams. Backed up by her father, her mother Therese, and her late uncle, priest Georges, she soon made her way to success.
After graduating in 2002 of the IESAV audiovisual and film Saint Joseph University, Beirut, she obtained in 2005 her Master at the Sorbonne-Nouvelle Paris III and specializes in film theory and scenario.
Backed up by director Hagop Derghougassian, Hoda began scriptwriting with the feature film "L'Habitat" for which she gained the prestigious Beaumarchais Foundation Grant 2008. Extremely encouraged by this outstanding reward and consistently supported by her producer Helen Dudragne, she completely dedicated her life to her writing passion.
In 2009 she matured her professional experiences through her collaboration with director Serge Poyotte.
In the same year 2012, she came back to her native land after directing a short movie "El Nourou Ya Nour" who made his way through many festivals.
In the land of cedars she gave birth to her first collection of poetry,“D’outres Années” a treasure of emotions, that she started back in 1999, capturing through every page a bunch of genuine passion and purity.
By the time she releases her second book in the coming fall, Hoda is currently collaborating on many feature films between Paris and Beirut.
