Jyad Murr entered the business life very early, when he was still at school, by launching the first FM radio stations in Lebanon. Nostalgie has been ranked number one in terms of audience in Lebanon for many years. He launched NRJ in 2006 which has gained a huge market share in a very short period of time.
Jyad Murr is the COO of XDU, a multidivisional holding that includes recognized autonomous companies mainly specialized in the field of media and production.
He holds the position of COO at MTV, a free and independent television station, which was launched in 1991. MTV is one of the symbols of freedom in Lebanon.
Jyad Murr has produced the biggest concert in Lebanon: Luciano Pavarotti on the 12th of June 1999, in front of an audience of 20 000 persons. He is one of the leading independent promoters in Lebanon, and has organized the concerts of Jose Carreras, Placebo, Mika, James Blunt, Paul Anka, Alanis Morissette, and many others.
He is the COO of Get For Less, Lebanon's leading mail order catalogue and Instruments Garage, specialized in musical retail outlet that focuses on the provision of integrated solutions for musicians and professionals.
