Ghena was taught the importance of hard work by growing up in a family that admires work and persistence. With civil war tearing the country, the only outlet in her hometown Saida was to attend the office with her mother where she was exposed to people from all walks of life, from humanitarians to artists to business people. This exposure expanded her horizons and enriched her outlook as well as her personal growth.
In 2003 after graduating from Georgetown University in Washington DC, she set up a fresh produce packaging company with her younger brother where she was the only woman in this business in Lebanon.
Ghena was always fascinated by design in general and good craftsmanship in particular, that was when she met the ideal person to partner with and together they created Designer’s Entourage; their showroom in Beirut curates international designers who have a unique history in the business and very high standard of execution. The main aim of Ghena and her partner is to introduce these designers to the Middle East.
